Gasworks Regeneration

Sykes was heavily involved over 18 months in critical pumping work required to clean a gasworks regeneration site in London. This included installing 200mm diameter pipework around the site, with T pieces every 200m, to enable contaminated groundwater to be pumped to treatment plants on location. Sykes installed and managed the system along with all associated pumps, as well as supplying equipment to the earth-moving and remediation subcontractor. The site was drained quickly so that development work could commence on time.
